Applying for Secondary School
Children born between 1st September 2012 and 31st August 2013 will transfer to secondary school in September 2023. Click here to view the important dates provided by Bromley.

Secondary school place offers for all on time applicants will be posted on 1st March 2024.
Making an application
Bromley Council process all school applications for Bromley borough residents. You cannot apply directly to schools.
If you live outside the London Borough of Bromley, you must apply to your local council, even if you want to apply for a Bromley school. You can however include Bromley schools on your home local authority application.
Bromley residents should apply online at http://www.eadmissions.org.uk/ from 1st September 2023.
Online applications will only be processed when proof of address and parental responsibility have been received by the Admissions Team.
If you are unable to make an online application, paper forms are available on request from the Admissions Team.

If your child has an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP), please do not complete an application form but contact the Special Educational Needs team on 020-8313 4164 for further information.

| 31st October 2023 | National closing date for applications Any application received after this date will normally be treated as late |
| 17th November 2023 | St Olave’s Grammar School Stage 2 entrance test (for those invited back after Stage 1) |
| 18th November 2023 | Coopers School banding test |
| 8th December 2023 | Harris Academy Beckenham and Harris Girls’ Academy Bromley banding test |
| 12th December 2023 | Deadline of ‘late’ school applications for exceptional reasons and proven changes of address to be considered for national offer day |
| 1st March 2024 | National offer day Offer notifications sent to on-time applicants after 5pm |
| 15th March 2023 | Deadline for parents and carers to accept or decline the school offered online (decisions can be submitted via email after this date) |
| March 2024 | Appeals to be submitted to the relevant school (contact school’s directly for their appeals process and timetables) |
| From 10th April 2024 until 31st December 2024 | The Council reallocates any places that have become available from the waiting lists |
| From 1st January 2025 | All applications are processed through the In-Year Admissions process |
