For homework this week, Year 4 children were asked to create a piece of art work in the style of the artist Jiri Kolar. These children have produced beautiful and imaginative pieces! 🎨

🌈Wellbeing Wednesday:Lots of excitement in Reception today, as they decorate the class Christmas tree. Doesn’t it look amazing?! 🎄


Today the children in Reception made a giant 5 frame using cardboard counters to help with their maths learning. They then used it to find different ways of making 5 and wrote corresponding number sentences. Good job!


🌈Working hard in the well-being garden this lunchtime. More wood chippings laid, an extension to the bug hotel and an exciting discovery of ice from inside the wheelbarrow! ❄️

What an amazing afternoon Year 6 had, recreating the scenes of Romeo and Juliet with . We have been so impressed with the children’s writing this week too- diary entries in role as Juliet. Well done Y6! 🎭


Well done to the amazing actors and audience in Y5 and Y6, who recreated the scenes of Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet this afternoon. What a great day we had exploring Shakespeare’s famous plays! We thoroughly recommend! 🎭👏🏼


In Science, Year 6 have been looking at shadow length and light sources. We conducted an investigation to see if shadows increase or decrease dependent on how close or far away the light source is. What do you think? 🔦💡👩‍🔬


KS2 have been having a thrilling time in Pokemon club! Each week, they are able to make friendly trades and battles. It’s been lovely seeing the children socialising, interacting and being respectful to each other whilst sharing a common interest in Pokemon cards!


This week in English, Year 1 have been retelling the story 'Whatever Next!'. They have been working as a team to recreate a scene from the story. Can you guess what scenes they were working on?


Today, years 5 and 6 enjoyed workshops from the Shakespeare Sky Blue Theatre Company. Y5 recreated scenes from Macbeth whilst Y6 explored Romeo and Juliet. These sessions linked to their English lessons this half term. Well done to all our amazing actors! 🎭


🌈 More fantastic workshops delivered across the school this week from . Here we have year 6 in their ‘Decisions’ workshop. It was fantastic to hear them discussing important topics with their peers and making links with their PSHE lessons. Well done year 6!


This week in maths the children in Reception have been learning how to play dominos. They’ve been working together to recognise and match the dots and use their subitising skills.


Today we welcomed back for a jam packed week of workshops to support our PSHE curriculum. This is Reception, who enjoyed an ‘All about Me’ workshop this afternoon.
